Dear
Santa,
I wanted to let you know that I have been good and
have done whatever has been asked of me and now I humbly come to you
with my wish list for the community that I was elected to represent. I
know that you can deliver these precious presents to these special
people:
1. Can you please place in West Dade Federation
President Morgan Levy's stocking, and under every resident's Christmas
tree, that little piece of paper entitled "City Charter of
Doral"?
2. Can please give our children, our parents, and all
of the residents of Doral the much needed Doral Meadows Park and Doral
Park, places where our children can play soccer, youth football, and
little league baseball and we can all enjoy the beauty of our Doral
Community?
3. Can you please place under West Dade Federation
Vice President Jesse Jones's tree, and under that of every resident
who has cause to travel NW 58th Street between NW 97th Avenue and NW
107th Avenue, an elevated, passable street that does not flood?
4. Can you please give our residents a four-lane NW
107th Avenue so that our families can travel to and from their homes
safely?
5. Can you please continue to give our leaders,
whether they are members of the West Dade Federation of Homeowners
Associations or the Doral Community Council, a desire to keep working
together, always making sure that they have the community's best
interest at heart?
6. Can you please give our Community Council Members,
Jerry Howie, Carolyn Casserta, Jose Cancio, Sr., Odel Torres, and the
newly-elected Mary Swofford, and their families a special gift of
thanks for their long hours of sacrifice to the Doral Community?
7. Can you please give our Doral community its
much-needed Doral High School?
8. Can you please give our Doral community the
continued gift of a truly special community that works together in a
spirit of harmony and cooperation?
And Santa, I want to thank you in particular for one
gift in particular: allowing my family and I the opportunity to live
in a very special place called Doral.
Ralph Arza
Doral Community Councilman
