EPA Provider, Jorge A. Soto, to Discuss Management Techniques for New Millennium

MIAMI, FL . . . Jorge A. Soto, a Clinical Psychotherapist, will speak at the Miami West Rotary Club's Wednesday, December 15, l999, luncheon meeting. The 12:15 PM meeting will be held at the Doral Park Country Club, 5001 NW 104th Avenue, Miami.

As an Employee Assistance Professional (EAP), Soto provides mental health and substance abuse counseling to employees and their dependents. Soto also offers clients management training on several topics, including Teamwork, Disciplining, and Motivating Employees, and Providing Win-Win Situations to Employee and Management Difficulties.

Current clients include The Florida Marlins Baseball Team, Northern Trust Bank, Cordis Corporation--a Johnson & Johnson Company, Avborne Heavy Maintenance, and Avborne Accessory Group.

Prior to entering private practice, Soto was Assistant Administrator of the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital Medical Center Employee Assistance Program. In this position, he provided services to over 70 companies and organizations in Dade County.

Soto has a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Seton Hall University and a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Barry University. He is licensed by the State of Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), certified nationally by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), and by the Employee Assistance Professional Association (EAPA).

The Miami West Rotary Club is a local chapter of Rotary International, a global non-profit organization dedicated to disaster relief, eradicating disease, and world peace through student education.

Through Rotary's efforts, polio has been virtually eradicated throughout the world. The Organization's PolioPlus program provides polio vaccine to over one billion children in 188 countries. Each year, over 1,200 individuals study in a country other than their own for a full academic year.

The organization funds service projects throughout the world, from literacy programs to environmental projects to healthcare initiatives. Rotary provides an excellent opportunity to meet other professionals and give back to your community.

Locally, the Miami West Rotary Chapter actively supports disaster relief, Habitat for Humanity, Camillus House, the Girl Scouts, and the Daily Bread Food Bank. In addition, this small but diverse group of professionals and business owners also meets socially.

The Miami West Chapter of Rotary International meets on Wednesday from 12:15 PM to 1:30 PM at the Doral Country Club, 5001 NW 104th Avenue, Miami.
